How do I operate the Jolly Trolley lamp?

There is a round silicone switch (on/off button) in the pole of the lamp.
As soon as you press this switch, the lamp switches on.
If you keep the switch pressed, the light intensity increases/decreases. When you release the switch, the lamp memorises this light intensity.
If you press the switch shortly again, the lamp switches off.
